Khudatyan on the Change of Water Supply Schedule
The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, David Khudatyan, has stated: “As a result of government intervention, there will be no change to the water supply schedule. Dear citizens, I would like to address the schedule published a few days ago by ‘Veolia Water’ and its content. I must note that it has been considered problematic not only by many of you but also by the government, prompting an urgent consultation with the participation of all interested parties.
A discussion took place, and it was decided to suspend the operation of the schedule. The issue has been formulated for additional studies to be conducted by the Water Committee, the Public Services Regulatory Commission, and ‘Veolia Water’ over the next two weeks, after which a revised and improved water supply schedule for 2024 and 2025 will be published.
This claim is based on the capital works carried out in recent years that have increased threefold in volume in Yerevan and the regions. Continuous efforts are being made to modernize the existing infrastructure as well as to increase water volumes supplied to Yerevan through newly discovered water sources,” the minister wrote.
