Preparing for a Long-Term War Against Russia: Szijjártó

The Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Péter Szijjártó, has stated that, in his view, the European Union is gradually transforming into a military alliance and is preparing for a long-term war against Russia.

According to the minister, the current leadership of the EU has strayed from the original goals for which the union was established. He noted that the organization was created to ensure the peace and economic prosperity of its member states.

Szijjártó emphasized that today, in his opinion, security and military initiatives are increasingly at the center of European political policy. He believes this approach does not align with the founding principles of the EU.

The Hungarian official expressed his views amid the ongoing political processes within the EU, addressing the strategic directions and foreign policy priorities of the union.
