Citizens Should Give Former Rulers a Zero Vote: Ruben Rubinyan
Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan addressed the possible unification of opposition forces and political developments following the parliamentary elections.
“If Kocharian and the two oligarchs divided among different blocs manage to secure the votes of the majority of people and come to power, no one will be arrested on charges of corruption, because just as during their time in power, they will not allow law enforcement to do their job. Therefore, how can we prevent this scenario from being realized? People should give Kocharian and the two oligarchs a zero vote, because we have seen what kind of government Kocharian and the oligarchs represent, and I believe we do not want a repeat of such a government,” stated Rubinyan.
According to Rubinyan, it is the people who decide the government. He emphasized that they respect the voters' choice but do not share the approaches of the “oligarchic system” and the former authorities. He also declared that their goal is to have a constitutional majority following the elections in 2026 and to remove from the political arena those forces that, in their opinion, do not align with the vision for the development of the state.
