This Will Be Catastrophic for the American People: Vens

Washington views the prevention of nuclear weapons proliferation in the Middle East as a priority, as Tehran's acquisition of a nuclear bomb could trigger an uncontrollable arms race in the region. This was stated by U.S. Vice President James David Vens in an interview with Fox News.

“The United States has certain red lines. Our primary interest here is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. We do not want nuclear weapons to spread. If Iran acquires nuclear weapons, there will be numerous parties—some friendly and some not so friendly—that will want to obtain nuclear weapons. This will be catastrophic for the American people,” Vens noted.
