Possible New War Against Iran Not in Region's Interests: Erdogan
Possible new war against Iran does not serve the interests of the region and may deepen instability. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to TRT Haber.
Erdogan emphasized that Ankara supports resolving the existing disagreements between Iran and the United States exclusively through dialogue. He noted that he maintains high-level communication with both Tehran and Washington and has had phone conversations with the presidents of both countries.
The Turkish leader underscored that his country does not contribute to the escalation of conflicts but rather seeks to create conditions for peace. In his assessment, military escalation and rising tensions can increase uncertainty in the region. Erdogan mentioned that as long as the diplomatic path remains open, the possibility of a peaceful resolution to the issue is preserved.
