Washington Not Involved in Navalny Poisoning Allegations, Rubio Says
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has stated that Washington is not involved in the allegations made by several European countries regarding the alleged poisoning of Alexei Navalny, who is considered a terrorist and extremist in Russia.
"This was not our initiative... this was their report, and they were the ones who published it," Rubio said during a press conference with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, commenting on new foreign accusations regarding Navalny, stated that she would elaborate after the results of a test were presented.
According to data from the Federal Bureau of Prisons for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, on February 16, 2024, after a walk, Navalny felt unwell, lost consciousness, and passed away. Preliminary information from RT indicates that the inmate suffered a blood clot. The investigative committee of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug has initiated a procedural investigation into this incident.
