Not Starting Dialogue with China Would Be a Geopolitical Mistake, Rubio
Not starting a dialogue with China would be a geopolitical mistake. This statement was made by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Munich Security Conference.
“Not starting a dialogue with China would be a geopolitical mistake. Our national interests are greatly at odds. The United States expects every country to act within its own interests, including China. The purpose of diplomacy is to ensure the peaceful and orderly continuation of dialogue when our national interests are in conflict,” Rubio stated.
Speaking about the Russia-Ukraine war, the U.S. Secretary of State said he is unsure how serious Russia is about ending the war. “We don’t know if they are serious or not. They say they are serious. We will continue to monitor the situation,” emphasized the head of American diplomacy.
