Snow in the Aragats Region: Road Conditions

The Rescue Service reports that the roads in the territory of Armenia are mostly passable. However, the roads from the "Amberd" high mountainous meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and the Karkar Lake are closed in the Aragatsotn region. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult for trucks with trailers to navigate.

Snow is falling in the Aragats region. In the Gegharkunik region, there are patches of black ice on the roads. Drivers are urged to travel exclusively on winter tires.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Situations Department and the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
