Errors Found in English Exam Tests: Candidates Demand a New Examination

The unified foreign language examination held today turned into a real trial for hundreds of candidates. The widespread printing errors found in the 2nd and 4th versions of the English test not only disrupted the normal course of the exam but also caused outrage among candidates and their parents.

In a conversation with Auroranews, one candidate stated that an entire page was missing from the tests. The students noticed the issue themselves and reported it to the invigilators. Candidates recounted that it was only about 1.5 hours into the exam that they were approached and offered additional printed pages.

“We were tense and under stress. Reporting that the test was incomplete midway through the exam and offering new pages was simply unacceptable,” said one of the female students.

The wave of protests has spread across all regions as the problem has been widespread. Candidates are demanding a full re-examination for all versions to ensure equal conditions and are preparing to approach the Minister of Education and Science.

The Assessment and Testing Center (ATC) acknowledges the error but believes the issue has been resolved. According to the center's official statement, corrected copies were distributed instead of the defective pages, and affected candidates were given an additional 30-45 minutes.

In light of the created tension, the ATC has made the following decisions:

• A new examination will be organized only for those candidates who attempted the 2nd and 4th versions whose tests were faulted.
• A candidate can participate in the additional examination only if they cancel the results of today’s exam.

Essentially, this gives candidates the opportunity to choose whether to keep today’s score or attempt their luck again.

The ATC added that errors occur with printing of such volume, and the important thing was a quick response. The specific date for the additional examination will be announced shortly.
