Snow and Blizzard: Closed and Unpassable Roads

The Emergency Service reports that roadways in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable. However, the roads leading from the 'Amberd' high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and the Stone Lake are closed in the Aragatsotn region.

The road from the Jermuk intersection to Kapan (snow) and the Vardenyats Pass (blizzard, snow) are closed to trucks with trailers, while other types of vehicles face difficulties in passage.

In the Shirak region, inter-community roads are impassable for all types of vehicles. Snowfall is reported in the regions of Jermuk, Vayk, Aparan, Aragats, and the area known as 'Meghru Mountain.'
