Peace Established in the South Caucasus According to Aliyev

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, welcomed a delegation led by Aziz Nasirzadeh, the Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Recalling his recent phone conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, the state leader noted that high-level communications provide a good opportunity to discuss issues related to the bilateral agenda.

Emphasizing that Masoud Pezeshkian's official visit to Azerbaijan last year was successful and yielded good results, President Ilham Aliyev pointed out that relations between the two countries have developed since that visit.

Highlighting the ongoing wars and conflicts in many parts of the world, the state leader mentioned that peace has already been established in the South Caucasus through Azerbaijan's initiative. He expressed confidence that this holds significant importance for both Azerbaijan and Iran, which shares a border with Armenia.

“We want peace all over the world, no bloodshed, no war,” said the Azerbaijani president, emphasizing that his country serves as an example of a model for transitioning from war to peace.

The state leader also pointed out that, as he mentioned in his phone conversation with the Iranian president, Azerbaijan is concerned about the situation in the region and is ready to provide assistance in resolving this tension.
