During a National Prayer Breakfast held in Washington, U.S. President Donald Trump highly praised the roles of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the regional peace process, referring to them as "really good leaders."

In his remarks at the event, Trump once again discussed his involvement in the resolution of several international conflicts. He stated that, through U.S. mediation, it has been possible to reduce tensions and establish dialogue in various regions.

"I have participated in the resolution of complex and protracted conflicts, including those between Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, Pakistan and India, Israel and Iran, as well as between Armenia and Azerbaijan," the U.S. President noted.

Speaking about the outcomes of the Washington summit held on August 8 of last year, during which the three leaders signed several important documents, Trump specifically highlighted the roles of the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders. He emphasized that both leaders have operated under the conditions of conflict for many years but have ultimately managed to pursue a path of political dialogue and agreements.
