Turkey Accelerates Opening of Border Checkpoint with Armenia

Turkey has expedited the work on opening a border checkpoint with Armenia. This has been reported by Turkish media.

The governor of Iğdır province, Fırat Taşolar, personally inspected the ongoing reconstruction and modernization efforts of the Alican border checkpoint (known as the 'Margarit' checkpoint on the Armenian side). The Turkish publication states that Taşolar has announced that the process is expected to be completed in a short period of time.
