Melania Trump Discusses Communication with Putin

U.S. First Lady Melania Trump has expressed hope for a "swift" success in the reunification of Ukrainian children separated from their families due to the ongoing conflict. She was quoted by The Hill.

Trump noted that she continues to work on this issue and that the process is ongoing. "I hope for success very quickly," she stated, adding that she is in communication with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Last October, the First Lady received a response letter from the Russian leader regarding the protection of children. Trump emphasized that a "clear line of communication" has been established between her and the politician. According to her, both Moscow and Washington have facilitated the reunification of eight children from Ukraine with their parents. Furthermore, the First Lady has assisted in returning a Russian girl from the republic.

Subsequently, Putin conveyed words of gratitude through his American counterpart, Donald Trump, to Melania Trump for her active involvement in the reunification of Russian and Ukrainian children with their families.
