The Door to Peaceful Settlement is Open: Peskov

The Russian armed forces are striking targets related to military complexes in Ukraine, stated Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the President of Russia.

“As long as the Kyiv regime does not make appropriate decisions, the special military operation will continue, and our military will target those areas that, in their opinion, are connected to the military complex of the Kyiv regime,” Peskov told reporters.

He responded to questions regarding the objectives behind the attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. He also commented on accusations that Russia is trying to provoke discontent among the Ukrainian population to apply pressure on Kyiv.

“Russia continues its special military operation; the door to peaceful settlement is open, and Russia remains open. Our position is clear, and it is well understood by both the Kyiv regime and American negotiators, who are providing their good offices for conducting these trilateral negotiations, and for which we are grateful for their efforts,” Peskov stated.
