Negotiations Between Russia and Ukraine Ongoing in Abu Dhabi

The second round of negotiations between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States is taking place in Abu Dhabi. According to Russian media reports, the talks will last for two days, from February 4 to 5.

Rustem Umerov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, has announced that the consultations are being held in a trilateral format. Subsequently, work will continue in separate groups, after which a second session for ‘synchronization of positions’ is expected.

A source from TASS has also confirmed the start of the negotiations, noting that they are being conducted in “various formats.” As previously reported by RIA Novosti, citing a source, the discussions are taking place behind closed doors, and journalists have not been invited. There will be no press conference following the meeting, the source stated, although it did not rule out the publication of a final communiqué.

Territorial issues remain the main topic of discussion.
