Iran's Foreign Minister Announces Timing and Location for Nuclear Deal Talks with US
Negotiations between Iran and the United States will take place on February 6 in the capital of Oman, Muscat. This was announced by Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
"Talks regarding the nuclear issue with the US are scheduled for Friday at around 10:00 AM in Muscat. I thank our Omani brothers for ensuring all necessary organizational matters," Araghchi wrote on the social media platform X.
The Iranian Foreign Minister did not clarify the format of the negotiations. According to Axios, the meeting was initially planned to be held in Istanbul with the participation of representatives from Middle Eastern countries. However, on February 3, Tehran requested to move the talks to Oman, insisting that they be exclusively bilateral and dedicated solely to discussions regarding the nuclear program.
