American billionaire and owner of the X social platform, Elon Musk, has stated that the search conducted at the company’s office in Paris is politically motivated. "This is a political attack," Musk wrote on X.

This statement was a response to a message published on the official page of X’s team responsible for global relations with states. According to that message, the search conducted on the same day is linked to a "politicized criminal investigation" regarding potential manipulation of algorithms and alleged fraudulent acquisition of data.

Representatives of the social network assert that the accusations underlying the investigation are baseless and politically motivated. X’s management emphasizes that the company operates within the bounds of the law and is prepared to defend its position legally.
