India Revises Its Energy Cooperation Approach with Russia: MFA
The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has stated that India has revised its approach to energy cooperation with Russia. "In matters of foreign economic cooperation, New Delhi is guided exclusively by national interests, making sovereign decisions based on trade feasibility. We have no basis to believe that our Indian partners have changed their approach," Zakharova said during a press briefing, commenting on U.S. President Donald Trump's statement that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreed to halt purchases of Russian oil.
