Washington Transfers Dozens of Aircraft and Ships Near Iran: WP

In the past month, the United States has transferred dozens of military aircraft to bases near Iran and has concentrated around a dozen warships in the Middle East. This was reported by The Washington Post.

According to the publication, the increase in American military presence does not reach last year’s levels, when strikes were carried out against facilities related to Iran’s nuclear program; however, it does provide U.S. President Donald Trump with possible military options.

It is noted that the aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" is operating in the northern part of the Arabian Sea, accompanied by three escort destroyers. In the same area, there are at least eight other American military vessels, including destroyers near the Strait of Hormuz.
