Explosion in a Martuni Apartment

On February 2, at 10:44 AM, the crisis management center of the Gegharkunik region emergency rescue service received a call reporting an explosion in an apartment on the 4th floor of a building on Yerevanian Street in the city of Martuni. Assistance from rescuers was required, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A firefighting and rescue team from the regional emergency rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It has been determined that an explosion occurred in the apartment, under still undetermined circumstances. The explosion damaged the windows and door of the bedroom, as well as the kitchen window; however, there were no reported injuries.

Rescuers have secured the area.
