The Hottest February in Armenia was Recorded in 2018, the Coldest in 1972
The Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center reports, “The second month of winter is coming to an end, and from tomorrow we will enter the last month of winter—February. According to observations conducted since 1935, the hottest February was recorded in 2018, with an average monthly temperature of -0.7 °C, while the coldest was in 1972, with an average monthly temperature of -11.1 °C.
The wettest February occurred in 1985, when the amount of precipitation reached 93.0 mm, while the driest was in 2014, with only 8.1 mm of precipitation. During February, the duration of daylight increases by more than one hour in our latitudes.”
