Fog to Persist in Yerevan; Snow Expected in Some Areas
In Armenia, dry weather is expected on January 29 during the daytime, as reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center. Fog will persist in the low-lying areas of the Shirak Plain, in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, and in the Ararat Plain, including Yerevan.
The air temperature will gradually rise by 4-6 degrees during the daytime in Lori, Tavush, and Syunik from January 29 to 31. Winds will be from the southwest at 2-5 m/s, with expected wind gusts of 16-20 m/s in some areas on January 30-31 and February 1-2.
Snow is expected in some regions during the night and morning of January 29, as well as in the evening of January 30, and on January 31 and February 1-2. In mountainous areas, blizzards and low horizontal visibility are anticipated. In the morning hours of January 29, black ice is expected on the country’s roadways.
In Yerevan, dry weather is also expected on January 29 during the day, with air temperatures dropping to between 0-2 degrees. Snow is anticipated at night on January 29 in the capital. No precipitation is expected on January 30 and 31.
During the day in Shirak Province, temperatures will range from -3 to +2 degrees, while in Kotayk Province, they will range from -1 to +2. In Gegharkunik, temperatures are expected to reach between -1 and +4 during the day, in Lori from +5 to +9, and in Tavush from +6 to +8. In Aragatsotn Province, daytime temperatures will fluctuate between -1 and +2, in Ararat from -3 to 0, in Armavir from -2 to 0, in Vayots Dzor from 0 to +4, and in Syunik between +1 and +4.
