China Executes 11 Individuals Convicted of Fraud

The Intermediate People’s Court in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, has executed 11 members of a criminal syndicate found guilty of murder, fraud, and illegal drug trafficking, as reported by China Central Television today.

“Following the Supreme People's Court's decision and the order for execution, the Intermediate People’s Court in Wenzhou has carried out the death sentences on the 11 criminals in accordance with the law,” the broadcaster stated.

Earlier, the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China announced that by the end of September 2025, Wenzhou's Intermediate People’s Court had sentenced 11 members of the Ming family criminal syndicate to death for premeditated murder, fraud, illegal detention, running gambling operations, illegal drug trafficking, and organizing prostitution.

Reports indicated that the criminal syndicate operated in northern Myanmar near the Chinese border, and the victims of their fraud were citizens of China. In November 2023, leaders of the criminal group Ming Guoping, Ming Julan, and Ming Chengzhen were arrested, while the syndicate's leader, Ming Xuechuan, committed suicide during a raid. That autumn, Myanmar extradited a large number of individuals suspected of telecommunications fraud to China.

It was noted that the “Ming family” had been operating since 2015, engaging in gambling and fraud activities worth over 10 billion yuan (approximately 1.4 billion dollars). The criminals were also found guilty of murdering 14 Chinese citizens and injuring six others.
