Brussels Confronts Russia, Which It Cannot Resist: Pushkov

The European Union's obsession with Ukraine has led to its downfall, stated Alexey Pushkov, head of the Information Policy Committee of the Federation Council, on his Telegram channel.

“Europe achieved its greatest success in modern history—the creation of the European Union—without Ukraine. It became a leading center of economic power without Ukraine. Its political influence peaked at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries without Ukraine,” he wrote.

The senator explained that by fighting for the Kyiv regime, Brussels is confronting Russia, which it cannot resist. By severing all ties with Moscow, the EU has lost its significance on the global stage and has suffered economically and politically, he added.

“There can be only one conclusion: as soon as Europe tries to consume Ukraine, it weakens. History repeats itself. It is relentless,” Pushkov concluded. The senator previously stated that the situation surrounding Greenland illustrates Europe’s helplessness and indicates its stable decline.
