Tell that young man how it’s possible to do such a talentless PR: Tunyan

Babken Tunyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ruling Civil Contract faction, wrote on Facebook:

“Tell that young man that a significant portion of the taxes transferred to the budget by their companies is VAT, which is ultimately paid by the end consumer (that tax is included in the price of goods and services). For instance, the same pensioners who pay for electricity include VAT in that payment, which is remitted to the state budget as a tax paid by the electricity distribution company. A considerable part is also the income tax paid by wage earners, which the company transfers to the state budget as a tax agent. Conditional liabilities, their 'share' of taxes is the profit tax, which is one-fifth of their profit. You are right to pay taxes, regardless of whether they are direct or indirect. However, do not mislead the public; dozens of thousands of companies pay taxes similar to yours, and the amount you contribute is just a small fraction of our overall taxation. As for how the taxes are spent, it is not for you to decide, but for the government elected by the people, based on the interests of the state. I mean, how is it possible to manage such resources and still do PR so poorly?”
