Cleaning Works for Ice from Sidewalks and Building Roofs Not Being Conducted, Says Garnik Danielyan

Recently, we have witnessed numerous emergency situations due to the inaction of city authorities. This was stated by Garnik Danielyan, a member of the Armenia parliamentary group, on his Facebook page.

“Yesterday, especially after heavy snowfall, traffic was paralyzed, and we received reports from our citizens along with photos from accident sites. It seems that each time the authorities are caught off guard, unprepared for such situations. Where are the millions of drams that should have been allocated for these works being misused? Roads of interstate and republican significance, as well as streets, sidewalks, and yards are not being cleared. No cleaning works for ice from sidewalks and building roofs are being conducted, which results in our compatriots ending up in medical facilities. The streets of the capital are also filled with potholes; sometimes vehicles struggle to get out of them, creating emergency situations,” he wrote.
