The Situation in Greenland Does Not Threaten NATO's Existence: UK Prime Minister
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stated that the claims made by the US regarding Greenland should not be viewed as the "beginning of the end" for NATO. In an interview with Channel 4, he mentioned that while he disagrees with US President Donald Trump's approach to the issue of Greenland and the potential threats of tariffs, he shares the view on the need for strengthening security in the Arctic.
According to the Prime Minister, the United States remains a key partner for the UK in matters of defense, security, and intelligence. He emphasized that maintaining NATO's unity is vital, describing it as the most effective military alliance in the history of the world.
Starmer added that during his recent communications, he has focused on fostering unity within NATO to strengthen the alliance's position in the face of international challenges.
