Media Reveal Possible Cause of Macron's Eye Injury
The eye injury of French President Emmanuel Macron could have resulted from a punch to the face or occurred spontaneously, reports the Daily Mail, citing ophthalmic surgeon and founder of the London Eye Clinic, Mfaso Hou.
Last week, during a meeting at the Élysée Palace with representatives from New Caledonia, Macron announced that he would have to wear sunglasses for some time due to a ruptured blood vessel in his eye.
“Hou confirmed that the photos indeed show that Macron is suffering from what is called subconjunctival hemorrhage. This can occur from injuries such as a slap to the face or a punch, or it may happen spontaneously,” the newspaper states.
Earlier, there were reports from France clarifying what happened to Macron's eye.
