Snowstorm in Artik: Current Situation on Roads

As of January 21, at 16:30, all interstate and republican significance roads in Armenia are open. This information is provided by the Road Department. Organizations responsible for road maintenance continue to work on clearing and treating roads with salt and sand.

The Vardenyats Pass, the Ttujur-Navur, the Gndevaz-Jermuk, and the road from Jermuk junction to Kapan are closed for trailers. There is a snowstorm in the roads of the Artik region. There are patches of black ice on the roads of Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Dilijan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotq, and Amasia regions.

“Dear drivers, we urge you to be attentive, strictly adhere to traffic regulations, and travel exclusively with winter tires,” the message states.
