Ukraine Requires Uninterrupted U.S. Assistance, Zelensky Says
The issue concerning Ukraine's air defense system is not the diminishing stock of missiles, but rather the significant increase in the number of missiles used by Russia during attacks. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, noting that while Ukraine has received more air defense systems, Russia has considerably increased its use of missiles, particularly ballistic missiles.
Russia continues to ramp up its weapons production by sourcing components from various countries and private companies. “They are obtaining components, unfortunately, from partner countries and the private sector. However, their ability to manufacture those missiles needs to be reduced, but that has not yet happened,” Zelensky said.
He emphasized that PAC-3 missiles designed for Patriot systems remain the only effective anti-ballistic missile system. Therefore, Ukraine requires an increase in air defense missile supplies and uninterrupted assistance from its partners, primarily the United States.
