Serbia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan Need to Unite for Cooperation: Vucic
The countries of the Caucasus have become key intermediaries and a connecting link between Europe and Asia. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic made this statement at the World Economic Forum while discussing relations with Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"I believe in our sincere friendship and our common interests. We are all three members of the European political community. Serbia is on the path to the EU, but we share the same road with the countries of the Caucasus," Vucic noted.
According to the Serbian leader, countries around the world are facing numerous disruptions and economic problems due to the aftermath of the pandemic, rising costs of trade supplies, tariffs, and sanctions. In this context, Serbia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia need to unite for interaction and cooperation.
"When discussing road infrastructure, railway infrastructure, the digital economy, as well as, I believe, innovation, information technology, and ultimately artificial intelligence—these are the areas where we can strengthen our ties. And I believe in our genuine friendship, as well as in our significant interests that will connect us much more firmly and, dare I say, much faster in the future," Vucic expressed while speaking about the prospects for cooperation among the three countries.
