Pension Increased from 16,000 Drams to 43,000 Drams: Vahagn Aleksanyan

Pension has increased from 16,000 drams to 43,000 drams, which is not a dream pension for which I apologize to you. I believe your pension should be much higher and should continue to rise, but we have managed to increase this pension by 27,000 drams over the past seven years. This was stated by Vahagn Aleksanyan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction, during his speech at the National Assembly's time for statements.

“Do you know how much the previous authorities raised the minimum pension during the six-year period from 2012 to 2018? By 3,000 drams. In 2012 it was 13,000 drams, and by 2018 it became 16,000 drams. Can you imagine that Serzh Sargsyan, the ARF, two brilliant political titans, managed to achieve a pension increase of just 3,000 drams? During the same period, we raised the pension by 27,000 drams and provided our retirees with free health insurance,” Vahagn Aleksanyan stated.

The deputy also emphasized: “This is, of course, not enough, dear pensioners, naturally, your pensions should continue to rise, but this can only be assured by the government that has already shown it can increase pensions by 27,000 drams in six years, not just 3,000 drams.”
