Attention: Black Ice, Snow, and Blizzard Expected

On the evening of January 20, and during the night of January 20-21 and in the morning hours, black ice is expected on the roads of the republic. This was reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

"In Yerevan, snow is expected during the day on January 20, and on the 23rd. From January 21-22 and 24-25, there will be weather without precipitation. In various regions of the republic, snow is expected during the day on January 20, at night on the 21st, and on the nights of the 23rd and 24th, with blizzard conditions in mountainous areas and low horizontal visibility. On January 21 and 24 during the day, as well as on the 22nd and 25th, weather without precipitation is anticipated. Winds will be from the north at 2-5 m/s, and on the 23rd-24th, gusts are expected to reach 15-18 m/s in some regions," the statement said.

It is noted that the air temperature will gradually decrease by 7-10 degrees during the night of January 21-22, and will gradually rise by the same amount during the nights of January 23-24.
