Iran's Foreign Minister's Speech at Davos Forum Canceled
The World Economic Forum (WEF) scheduled to take place in Davos has canceled the speech of Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, which was set for January 20 at noon. His name was included in the forum's program the day before but has since disappeared from the official website. Forum organizers have confirmed that the Iranian Foreign Minister will not participate in Davos.
They explained that the invitation was sent for the autumn of 2025, but due to ongoing protests in Iran, 'it is practically impossible for the Iranian government to be represented in Davos this year.'
Mass protests in Iran began on December 28, sparked by rising prices and a sharp decline in the national currency.
