Gndevaz-Jermuk Highway Closed for All Types of Vehicles
The roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude weather station to Amberd Fortress and Karik Lake are closed in the Aragatsotn region, according to the Emergency Service.
The Gndevaz-Jermuk highway (blizzard) is closed for all types of vehicles. The Vardenyats Pass (blizzard), the Vanadzor-Dilijan and Vanadzor-Alaverdi highways, the Spitak and Dilijan serpentine roads, as well as the junction from Jermuk to the cities of Jermuk and Sisian, and the Noyemberyan-Jugevan and Noravan-Kapan highways are closed for vehicles with trailers, and passable with difficulty for other types of vehicles.
The Yeraskh-Zangakatun, Tatev-Ltsen, and Tatev-Kapan segments, the Stepanavan serpentine roads, the Berd-Chambarak highway, and sections from the M-4 highway to Haghartsin and Parnav Lake are difficult to traverse for all types of vehicles.
In the Kotayk region, there is black ice on the highways in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Dilijan, Sevan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Sisian, Goris, Ashotzk, and Amassia.
There is a blizzard on the Lanjink-Mastara highway. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
Regarding Lars, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Agency and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed for all types of vehicles.
