Azerbaijan Received Request for Transit from Armenia to Russia, Says Aliyev

We have received a request from the Armenian side to ensure transit from Armenia to Russia. Ilham Aliyev made this statement in Davos.

“Thus, we have actual and unilaterally opened corridors. It is true that the transfers go through Georgia, but one day this route will also pass through Armenia. The day will come when Armenian cargo will pass directly through Azerbaijani territory, and that day is not far off,” he emphasized.

Aliyev also noted that the processes of rapprochement between Azerbaijan-Armenia and Turkey-Armenia are occurring in parallel. “If we cannot achieve everything we want in the region, then we cannot aspire to any global event. Today, the processes of rapprochement between Azerbaijan-Armenia and Turkey-Armenia are taking place in parallel. These processes will undoubtedly lead to the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Armenia, as well as between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” said Aliyev.
