Spitak Loops Impassable for Trailer Vehicles

As of 9:00 AM, the Dilijan loops, Vanadzor-Dilijan, Vanadzor-Alaverdi, Noravan-Kapan, and Voskepat-Jujavan roads are closed to trailer vehicles. This information comes from the Road Department. The Spitak loops are difficult to traverse for vehicles with trailers. The Tigranashen-Zangakatun road and the Vardenyats Pass are closed for trailer vehicles, while the conditions are challenging for other types of vehicles.

Snow is falling in the Saravan-'Zanger' and Harzhis-Shinuhayr roads. Light snow is observed in the regions of Baghramyan, Talin, Artik, Ashotzk, Ashtarak, Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Vanadzor, Tumanyan, Stepanavan, Masis, Artashat, Ararat, Yeghegnadzor, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Meghri, Abovyan, Sevan, Gavar, Chambarak, Tavush, and Dilijan.

In the areas of Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Dilijan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotzk, and Amasia, there are patches of black ice on the roads. All interstate and republican roads are open. Road construction teams are working on cleaning the roads and applying salt and sand treatments.
