Details of the Louvre Heist Revealed

Security personnel at the Louvre witnessed a robbery taking place inside the museum, but hesitated to intervene and stop the thieves, according to footage released by French broadcaster France 2.

The video shows several security staff in black suits observing as one thief entered through a window and fled the scene. Immediately after, a second robber entered the gallery wearing a motorcycle helmet and carrying a grinding tool. They quickly headed towards the jewelry display cases, sprinting past anyone who got in their way, and began to break into them.

At that moment, several security personnel returned to the gallery. One of them grabbed a barrier and moved towards the thieves twice, intending to stop them, but hesitated both times and retreated. Meanwhile, the thieves continued to ransack the museum, remaining unnoticed by their pursuing guards.
