Roads Closed Due to Icy Conditions

The Rescue Service has reported that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. The roads from the 'Amberd' high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are closed in the Aragatsotn region.

The Novavan-Kapan and Noyemberyan-Ijevan roads, as well as the Dilijan turns, are closed to vehicles with trailers. The Vardenyats Pass is closed to cargo trucks with trailers, while it is difficult for other vehicles to traverse.

The Berd-Chambarak road is impassable for all types of vehicles. There are patches of ice on the roads in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Dilijan, Sevan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotsk, and Amasia.

In the Tavush region, it is currently snowing in the Amasia area.
