Suspension of Operations at Dairy Production Facility

The State Food Safety Inspectorate's Kotayk regional center has reported the suspension of a specific operation at the dairy production facility owned by Sofia Dairy LLC, located in Abovyan. During inspections, samples were taken for laboratory testing of the following products: "Sofia" sour cream with 18% fat content, produced on December 23, 2025; "Lori" cheese, produced on December 9, 2025; and milk products containing milk fat substitutes, produced using the "Chanakh" cheese technology, on December 9, 2025.

According to the research results, the sample of "Sofia" sour cream with 18% fat content did not meet the requirements set forth by the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union regarding coliform bacteria and yeast indicators. As a result, the production of this specific product has been suspended. The producer has been issued an instruction to prohibit the marketing of this batch, recall it from the market, destroy it, or dispose of it, and they have been ordered to ensure compliance with existing technical regulations.

The supervisory body has set a deadline for the elimination of the identified violations.
