Putin and Netanyahu Discuss Unrest in Iran
The Kremlin's press service announced that President Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the unrest in Iran.
"President Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The situation in the Middle East and around Iran was discussed," the press release stated.
The President called for ensuring stability and security in the region through diplomatic means. Russia is prepared to mediate dialogue.
Putin and Netanyahu also agreed to continue their communications. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov later stated that the Russian leader had also spoken with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and the results of that conversation will be published soon. According to Peskov, Putin is making significant efforts to ease tensions in the Middle East.
