Russian Businessman's Cousin Noted for Dishonesty: Rubinyan to Karapetyan

The Turkish Foreign Minister has announced that Turkey supports Pashinyan in the 2026 elections. It remains to clarify only one question: from which year has Turkey been supporting Pashinyan – from 2018, 2020, or 2023? This was noted by Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the 'Our Way' movement.

In response, Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan made a statement: 'Some of our disgraceful media outlets and the cousin of a Russian businessman have again distinguished themselves with their tendency to lie. The Turkish Foreign Minister did NOT declare that he supports Pashinyan in the elections. This is simply false. He did not say such a thing. And he could not have said it because that is our internal affair.'

It should be recalled that the Turkish Foreign Minister stated yesterday: 'Currently, both in Azerbaijan and in Armenia, as well as in Turkey, this will is present at the level of political leadership. There are simply several steps that Armenia needs to take. As you know, elections are expected in Armenia at the beginning of June, and this is also an important phase. However, we see that Prime Minister Pashinyan is currently in a leading position in public opinion polls.'
