Arman Tsarukyan Had His Opportunity But Didn't Utilize It, Says UFC President

The president of UFC, Dana White, explained why Arman Tsarukyan did not get the chance to contend for the title.

“Tsarukyan had the opportunity, but he didn’t take advantage of it. I need to trust everyone who is fighting for the title. It's not that he didn’t have a chance. There was a time when Belal Muhammad was consistently winning many fights. Belal was thinking, ‘How many fights do I need to win to get a title shot?’ But everything is different with Tsarukyan,” White stated.

It is noteworthy that the title fight between Tsarukyan and Islam Makhachev was scheduled to take place last January. Arman withdrew from the fight a day prior due to back issues.
