Mkhitar Hayrapetyan Proposes Dialogue with Parents on Gaming Concerns

Recently, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia has been receiving letters from citizens concerned about the safety of their children. The focus is primarily on the Roblox gaming platform. This was stated by the Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.

"I would like to have a dialogue through this platform with parents and educators to learn more about their concerns that arise when children use gaming platforms and games such as Roblox, Minecraft, Brawl Stars, Fortnite, PUBG, and others. There are various assessments regarding the creative benefits of such games and, at the same time, the harmful habits and various dangers they pose. I want to gather more opinions on parents' approaches and concerns, and as a result, we will try to reduce such risks within our powers aimed at creating a safer digital environment for children. I ask you to write your concerns and overall observations in the comments section. Based on the feedback received, we plan to organize a meeting and hold a broader discussion involving our partners from different departments, parents, and specialists," he wrote.
