Lars is Closed to All Types of Vehicles

The emergency services have reported that certain roads in the Republic of Armenia are closed. The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd fortress and Lake Kari are closed in the Aragatsotn province.

The road from the Jermuk intersection to Sisian, from the Noravank intersection to Kapan, and the Tatev-Lczen road are closed for vehicles with trailers.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed to vehicles with trailers and is difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles. The Spitak bends, as well as the Spitak-Gyumri and Dilijan-Vanadzor highways, are challenging to pass for vehicles with trailers.

There are patches of black ice on the roads in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotq, and Amasia.

Snowfall is occurring in the regions of Syunik and Vayots Dzor, specifically in the area known as Saravan-Zanger. Fog is present on the roads in the Goris and Vayk regions.

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' emergency department and the crisis management center of the North Ossetia Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the stepantsminda-Lars road is closed to all types of vehicles.
