Tehran Forms the Perspective that Armenia is Becoming a Center for Hostile Forces Against Iran, Says Iranian Ambassador to Armenia

Tehran is forming the perception that Armenia is becoming a center for the activities of forces hostile to Iran. This was stated by Khalil Shirgolemi, the Iranian ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Armenia, during a press conference held on January 14.

“A group of people have the opportunity, and they have been given the green light to come to the area near the Iranian Embassy in Armenia and make disrespectful and insulting statements. For six days now, they have been making disrespectful and insulting remarks in front of the Iranian Embassy’s building, and despite our expressions of protest, this process continues. We have repeatedly conveyed our complaints to the relevant Armenian authorities. We have stood by the Armenian government in the most difficult times; there are many examples of this. Today, we are in a serious situation, and what is happening near the Iranian Embassy in Armenia will remain in the historical memory of the Iranian people. I believe I have made everything clear,” said Shirgolemi.
