I Deny That Azerbaijani Border Guards Are Checking Armenian Soldiers: Suren Papikyan

I deny it, they are not checking. This was stated by the Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan during a press conference, responding to a journalist's question about whether it is true that Azerbaijani border guards are thoroughly checking Armenian soldiers when ascending the heights of Syunik.

Speaking about the position of Lake Sevan, Papikyan noted that our soldiers pass alongside the Azerbaijani position: “The situation at Lake Sevan is as follows: we either abandon that position or we must pass alongside the Azerbaijani position. This is clear, it is not new, I am not the author of this, I am not the only one benefiting from this. In case we abandon the position, you should accuse me of conceding a part of the homeland. Our soldiers pass alongside the Azerbaijani position with a block post,” he stated.
