We Will Do Everything to Alleviate Iran's Concerns: Pashinyan
We are very attentive to the statements coming from the Islamic Republic of Iran, and we have done everything and will continue to do everything to alleviate all the concerns of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is a friendly country for us, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a press briefing.
“Since 2018, no assembly has been banned in Armenia, and we cannot act differently in one specific case because that is a reality. It is another thing that yes, we share, the forms of expression should not interfere with the work of the Islamic Republic of Iran or any other embassy. We will carefully monitor this, including concerns related to that situation, and we will take all measures within the framework of our democratic principles to ensure that there are no issues regarding the operations of the friendly and brotherly embassy of Iran,” the Prime Minister stated.
It should be noted that the day before, the Iranian ambassador to Armenia said that the actions organized in front of the embassy disrupted their work. He noted that these actions create the impression in Tehran that Armenia could become a platform for forces that are hostile to Iran.
Regarding Iran's concerns about TRIPP, Pashinyan stated that they are in constant contact with the Iranian leadership and are ready to respond to all questions, including any that may arise after the published text.
