We Have Seen Over 10% Increase in Vegetable Exports, Says Gevorg Papoyan

Our parliamentary colleague Tsovinar Vardanyan is currently circulating a project, and we have supported the development of that project to reduce tariffs for intensive agriculture and greenhouses, speeding up the processes. This was stated today by Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan during a government meeting.

“We are also working in that direction. If you allow me, I would like to provide some statistics. For instance, in the last year, flower exports from Armenia have increased by about 30%, which is mainly due to the production released from these complexes, and we expect even higher growth. Peppers are quite popular, and greenhouse pepper production has recorded a 40% increase within a year. The other area that is quite widespread is vegetables, where we have seen an increase of 10% or more,” the minister said.
